I have been writing poems and short stories since I was a manic little kid. I got my masters degree and taught poetry at the University of Virginia in 2013 as a Poe/Faulkner Fellow. I believe that poetry should be visceral, should be felt in the body, should be a heart-punch that makes the colors of the world hit you right in the face. I was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2014, and have been rejected by most reputable journals. Here are some poems and short stories you can find online, as well as my past blog work in true crime and horror.
